Hello everyone! Here we are, embracing the blog community! On our first blogpost we will write you about two of the most relevant bars on our first 6 list.
After a first round exploring Salzburg’s nightlife, in this case, on Wednesdays, we ended up with a selection of 6 bars – Shamrock; O’Malleys; The Cube; SEGABAR; City Alm and Watzmann.
As you probably already know, from our Facebook and Instagram posts, we rate the bars according to their offers for students on Wednesday nights, with a Shot rating system (1-5)!
After some ponderation on their quality and on the information we already provide to you… On this post we will tell you more about City Alm and Watzmann.
Those were the last two bars of the night, so we were expecting some crowded and exciting ambience – we decided to visit City Alm first.
City Alm (Shot rating: 4.5/5)
This bar is well known among students for their unique karaoke nights. The space is quite big and they offer very nice deals! On the night we were visiting, they were offering an Eastern party, with neon lights and vibrant colours everywhere. The entrance should be free, however paid onthemed party nights.
Their special characteristic on Wednesdays is their “Karaoke Studenten Special”, if you join 20 friends and let them know by 2pm on the same Wednesday, they give you and your group 3 litres of Smirnoff or Bacardi-Flasche.
As most bars in the city, this bar allows the visitors to smoke inside!
The night was already finishing and we decided to know a bit more about the bar Watzmann.
Watzmann (Shot rating: 3.5/5)
With the strong colours and palm trees at the entrance, we could imagine the energy that was expecting us inside. The staff was immediately friendly, interacting with us and sharing their offers and deals with the team.
In terms of the space – it’s not the size of a club, it actually feels cosier, pub-style. If you are a fan of either recent or old school hip-hop, pop and R&B, this seems to be the ideal place for you.
For their Student Wednesdays, they offer 2 for 1 shots and 4.20€ cocktails before 12am. You can also get a bottle of Vodka plus 6 Redbulls for 50€, 24/7!
We ended the night completely delighted with what this small city has to offer. So, don’t just stick to these bars! There is a lot more to come! Stay alert on the blog and on the Experience Salzburg Facebook!
