For our Social Media Marketing and eMarketing course, Chiara, Annamária, Valentina and Samira created a Social Media Strategy for a Hairsalon in Saalfelden, Austria. The aim of the project was to bring the Products and services of the Hairsalon, with the help of Instagram and Facebook to a new target group.
The Salon Susanne offers, additional to cutting and colouring hair, also many other services. You can get your Make up, Nails, Eyebrows done as well as different hairstyles. They also offer Spa treatments where you get the chance to take some time off and relax. To provide some attractive offers for the customers, we created three different packages, a bridal, prom and spa package. For the bridal and prom package you can get your makeup, nails and hair done and have a small photo shooting included. In the spa package you can enjoy some time with some friends or family and get pampered.
Those packages, as well as all the services are promoted on Instagram and Facebook. To coordinate all of our posts, we have created a Content Strategy and a Social Media Calendar. The content on the two platforms is very similar. We focus on before and after posts, product and package posts, promotional posts, campaign promotion and also covid updates. To get to know the people who cut your hair, we will do some posts of the employees to introduce them.
As we are targeting an older target group on Facebook, the content is focusing more on bridal posts. On Instagram we target the younger generation therefore more content about the prom package and before and after picture and the products. However, on both platforms the spa package, promotional, seasonal and campaign posts and the employee posts are published. We also have themed posts for seasonal events like valentine’s day, Mother’s- and Father’s Day, Easter and Christmas special, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On Instagram we post twice a week, on Wednesday and Friday at 10.00 to keep a steady routine. On Facebook we post once a week, on Friday at 13.00. The themed posts will start, two weeks in advance, and for the Christmas themed posts we start at the beginning of December.
