What is Saalbach and how to get there:
Saalbach is located in the region of Pinzgau in the south-west of Salzburger Land. Due to the association of Saalbach Hinterglemm with Leogang and Fieberbrunn the ski resort has created a true mecca for skiing in Austria. Simply said – Saalbach is the “home of lässig” for ski fans. The ski area is easy to reach by car and also by train. From Salzburg city it takes about one and a half hours by car on the federal highway. For a more sustainable arrival Saalbach can also easily be reached by bus from the train station in Zell am See Kaprun. With a valid ski pass, the public transports are free in the region.

For example the “Saalbach-Runde” which includes the famous slope of the world championship in 1991 or the “Tirol- Runde” where you ski in two Austrian federal states – Salzburg and Tyrol.
