#healthathome – the Green Village

Quarantine Pasttimes

Usually, when I can leave the house I don’t want to. Suddenly, it seems like that’s all I want to do! Given the nature of lockdown, spending my days wandering outside with the general public is explicitly not allowed. So, in the meantime, I have remained content occupying myself with plant care, listening to good music and eating snacks.

Listening to music helps the days at home go by a little faster! My taste in music depends on the weather, and for the sunny days we’ve been having this is my favourite song!

Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds, you can grow flowers, or you can grow weeds.

Unfortunately for me, I do not have a garden, rather I occupy myself with my various houseplants. Nor was I born with a green thumb and sadly most of my plants live numbered days.
It seems however, as though I have been blessed the last month and have only killed one plant! The rest of them look positively okay, and I hope that soon they will flourish (I have started experimenting with fertilizer)

Succulent Family

I find these to be by far the most difficult plants to take care of. Maybe its my love of watering…

Simply Grateful

I am beyond happy to have this lovely plant hanging in my room!
I can always count on her surviving the dry spells, overwatering, experimental moves around, and cold weather. This plant has been with me through thick and thin and has lived to tell the tale!
