Have you ever craved for a crunchy cheesy pizza after a long day at work or university? We all have. A pizza when it comes to our mind, is always comes against those of us which have food intolerance or those of us which follow a vegetarian or a vegan diet. It always seems hard to find delicious pizza choices which can still be tasty with all the toppings that fit our diets.
However, we the Getting’ Cheesy crew have found the perfect location for you! We went on the search for the perfect place to find a pizzeria with the healthies and most variable choices in the town of Salzburg! The Organic Pizza restaurant.
Organic Pizza is a small pizzeria located on the Franz-Josef-Strasse in the city centre of Salzburg. You can reach it within 2 minute walk from the Linzergasse and also very easy to access by train from the main train station Salzburg Hauptbahnhof by foot it takes 10-15 minutes, or you can access it by taking the O-buses No. 1, 3, 5 or 6 and then take a 5 minutes’ walk to the location.
The pizzeria offers 7 choices of vegetarian and non-vegetarian pizzas and also 3 different choices of vegan pizzas! That’s right, they have vegan pizza! How is that made since the basic of pizza is cheese? Is it without cheese? Sometimes when ordering a vegan-burger, it comes without cheese….. But, they make the vegan pizzas with vegan cheese! Which looks, and tastes just like cheese. .. Yummy. Another unique feature of their pizzas, they are all made with healthy organic products. For beverages, they have a variety of 100% bio certified drinks and also the option of decaffeinated Fritz-Kola. Price for a pizza ranges between €9,20 and €15,20 with the majority of choices are for about €12.
The restaurant consists of 8 indoor seating tables and in the summer, 12 outdoor tables when the sun is shining! You can also make reservations for you and your friends up to 10 persons under the week. On weekend is sometimes difficult for a big group of people but sometimes manageable too. Its open 5 days a week from Tuesday till Saturday and is closed Sundays and Mondays. And in the summer days they might open 7 days a week. Opening hours are usually from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. which makes it a good location for a late lunch and perfect for dinner!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They took their time to present to us what is on the menu and also explained about their organic concept and from where they get them and also what the vegan cheese consists of 😉 Since we told them we were doing a university project, they were very happy and also gave us the chance of having a look behind the scene of how they create a pizza! Checkout our YouTube video for a small peek. Waiting time was also very decent.so if you come with a cowling stomach, don’t worry, you’ll get your pizza sooner than you expect! (funny fact, the pizza is shaped rectangular so you can have more space on the table)
We have made a small rating from 1-5 for this place based on 4 aspect:
